- I write and read every day - sometimes I read an entire book a day, sometimes I don't. I did a degree in English and History in the late 90s as a mature student, but I've loved these subjects since my school days. I concentrated on studying First World War literature and history for most of my degree, until I wrote a paper on Harry Potter in my final semester. I've been writing about fantasy fiction (for children and for adults) ever since (although I haven't lost my interest in the First World War.) In January 2007, inspired by David Tennant's performances as the Tenth Doctor, I took up writing "Doctor Who" fan-fiction (and no, I don't intend to try to publish it anywhere except on my Blog. I'm just writing it for fun.) I'm also about to start writing non-fanfiction as well. I have a 'day job' which isn't very well paid, but does keep me in Oxford, the city I love, and is flexible enough to give me time to write. I am a participant in the Amazon Europe S.à r.l. Associates Programme, an affiliate advertising programme designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.co.uk.

Hmm...I'm 90% Zoe! Cool. Someone in the family got the Serenity DVD for Christmas. We watched it with "the boyfriend" for New Year's eve. He liked it so he passed THAT test.
Seeing it again after watching Firefly now, I felt such a huge connection to the characters. When I saw it at the theater I had never seen the Firefly TV show but still loved the movie and all the characters.
Snatching a lunch break from writing, to say "Yay !" for your liking of Firefly and your connection to the characters. I have never felt so connected to a bunch of fictional characters as I feel watching Joss' characters. Not even when I was a fan of the later Star Trek incarnations...
Glad to know "the boyfriend" liked Serenity too - there's hope for you both there ! ;-D
Just to be clear.."the boyfriend" is the property of Entling #2 who was visiting New Year's eve. Daughter and "the boy" sat circumspectly on the sofa and watched Serenity with the rest of the family.
He tolerated family night (and my husband's (Treebeard) baleful stare whenever his arm started to surround daughter's shoulders) fairly well..

I know just the sort of stare that fathers like Treebeard deploy towards boys who are interested in their daughters ! :-D
I'll have to save looking at your Blog until after I've finished my current writing project - the deadline is looming and I don't want to get sidetracked by anything - not even Firefly !
I got 70 percent Zoe the first time and 69 percent Jayne the second. lol Those were because of a couple of questions I was undecided on, so I did them again.
