Still here, honestly

Yes I am still alive and relatively well (winter colds aside), but writing Doctor Who fanfiction is *literally* my whole life outside of work (although I'm still reading - albeit fewer books - I'm even on this year's SF&F Judging Committee for the Cybils !)

So a belated Happy New Year (I'm hoping it'll be a case of new year, new job as mine still sucks like an industrial strength hoover)...

So yes, I'm not dead yet - just up to my neck in story ideas: um, 25 and counting - including a 14 story series that's an AU version of Season 3 of New Who in which Martha Jones will meet the Eighth Doctor (because Paul McGann's Eighth Doctor is my new love! David who...? *grins*)...

The madness continues...

Michele! I'm glad you're still here. I miss you a lot :(

I'm sorry the job still sucks, but am happy you're finding so much joy in writing.

Happy 2008!

Happy 2008 to you too...

Finding joy + new friends in the madness of my writing ! If it wasn't for my DW-loving friends, I'd probably have gone postal by now ! o_O

Glad to hear that you're still around, Michele! Sounds like you're writing some interesting stuff! Some day I'm going to have to find out what all the Doctor Who hoopla is all about. Good luck with finding a new job!

Sheila, you've got SO much to enjoy - of you ever get to it, I'll happily give you some recommendations!

A very Happy New Year to you!

I'm glad to see that you're still around. I was getting a bit concerned!

David who? Blasphemy that is what that is....

My husband brought home a bunch of Doctor Who books (the newer ones) in December after a trip to the UK. He brought them for the girls...but hey..I'm a girl too so... :D

For now, we are feeding our Doctor Who addiction with old school and novels. We haven't even seen the Christmas Special yet...

*giggles*

Nah, I still love Mr Tennant... But the Eighth Doctor is dashingly romantic and I have issues with the Tenth (thanks for nothing, Russell T Davies!)...

As for the Xmas episode - well the fact I'm refusing to call it a "special" indicates how unimpressed I was with it... The only thing worth watching it for is the sight of David Tennant in a tux ('cos that man was BORN to wear a tux, move over James Bond !)

Which new books did your hubby bring home? The very latest (out in December) are Wishing Well, The Pirate Loop and Peacemaker (to be read in that order as TPL is set two days after WW). I adored Peacemaker and The Pirate Loop was good too...

Hey Jules... Yes, still alive and kicking the Bunny!Muses (well metaphorically at least)...

Definitely out of my mind on writing fiction (and no real hope of a reprieve)!

I am not very kick-blessed at the moment, alas!

Just wanted to check up on you. I keep hoping you'll put up a Poetry Friday post again, since you and I are frequently simpatico, but alas! nary a one in a while.

I hope things are going well for you.

Every week I think I must do a Poetry Friday post - and every Friday I realise that I've missed it again... :(

It's still Friday stateside for another 12 hours (if one judges by the West Coast), and another 9 here on the East.

Just in case . . .

And for four hours here in the UK (more relevantly) - but my mind is an absolute blank. A late night last night, combined with a long work day on top of 10 days of writing some of the most angst-ridden fiction I've ever done is not really conducive to my thinking about poetry (alas!)
