Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows news

I daresay that, thanks to Blogger's breakdown earlier, everyone now knows that it was announced today that Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will be out on July 21, 8 days after the fifth Harry Potter film hits the cinemas.

A lot of readers were anticipating a July 7 publication date, but as I've pointed out endlessly to everyone who's mentioned it to me, that would have been rather crass of Bloomsbury, given the July 7 bombings in London in 2005.

Only 171 days to go, folks... !

(Oh and by the way, guess who predicted that HP7 would be out the weekend of "Sectus", the London HP conference ?!)

Harry Potter book 7 - long wait ?

However, J K Rowling has dismssed claims, via her website that she told party-goers at the Premiere for the new Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley)/Julie Walters (Molly Weasley) film, Driving Lessons, that she is only halfway through the book after writing 750 pages.
