An Introduction to Terry Pratchett

A few days ago, I mentioned that I had been writing a "guest column" and I can now reveal that it was at the invitation of Susan, over at Chicken Spaghetti, and that An Introduction to Terry Pratchett (for the unitiated), has now been published. Do pop over there because Susan's Blog is always interesting reading.

Michele, thank you so much for such a good column! I think today's library run is going to include Wee Free Men. Can't wait.

You're quite welcome. I do hope you'll enjoy The Wee Free Men ! If we could get Kelly to read it as well, we could have a discussion a la Every Little Bird Sings !

Thanks for the helpful intro! I've been wanting to check out Pratchett, too. Surprisingly I've never read any of his books, either. My son recently read the first two Johnny Maxwell books and enjoyed them, but I haven't gotten around to reading them. I'll probably start with The Wee Free Men, since I'm on sort of an unofficial survey of fairy literature right now.

Well I'm sure you'll enjoy the Tiffany Aching series (she resembles my child self in quite a lot of ways !), but the Johnny Maxwell trilogy (esp. Johnny and the Dead and Johnny and the Bomb are excellent and definitely worth reading !

(I'd be interested to know more about the unofficial survey - privately if you'd rather not reveal publicly !)
