Blog Logo

I'm toying with the idea of adding a logo to my Blog, and have come up with a couple of designs. I'd be interested to know what people think of them - do you prefer one more than the other, or just dislike them both ? The font style of the second one will look familiar to Buffy fans - it's called "Buffied" !

(I'm not quite sure why the first one is coming out so small - it's actually bigger than the second one when viewed in my photo editing program !)

I like the second one best and have not even seen Buffy. :-)

I like the 2nd one, Michele!

I prefer the second. But neither font seems to "go" with the logo itself. I might go towards a more scripty font, or a more child-like font.

I love the colors and the picture.

Nancy, I picked SF/F-ish fonts to reflect the theme of my Blog, whereas the picture is my LiveJournal avatar and could easily be me !

I confess to liking the second one with the "Buffied" font !

Of course, I've still got to work out how to add it to my template since Blogger Beta is no longer clear on where to put such things.

I like the second one, too. And I decided that before reading everyone else's comments. I think it's more evocative of fantasy, and less of science fiction, and seems to suit your blog more.

I like the second one, too, so you see I can agree with everyone, sometimes!

Maxine, nothing wrong with not agreeing with everyone all the time ! ;-D

The second one does seem to be the most popular. I will have to check the Blogger help database to find out how to add an image to my template...

OK, contrary to the last. I prefer the first. I think a 'cleaner' type remains fresh for a longer time.

Well someone had to vote the other way ! ;-D

I love the little dude reading. And I like the Buffy font because, well, it's a Buffy font. But from a design point of view, the first one is cleaner, easier to read and more pleasing to the eye. So, I guess my vote goes to the first.

Fair enough... I liked the first one for that reason too, but the second is my favourite because it's the Buffy font !

I wonder if making the text larger in the second one will make it easier to read ? I'll give that a try.
